Covid-19 Special Note: On June 1, 2020 we began coordinating service opportunities with special precautions in place such as smaller group sizes, face mask recommendations, and personal health guidelines for each face to face meeting. Due to safety concerns many of our normal services are still suspended or will be provided online instead. Throughout the pandemic, we will continue to monitor and adjust group sizes and service options with health and safety as our top priority.

Message from our founder: “I created Butterfly Outdoors to share my passion for nature with others. I want to teach people the names of trees and how to start a fire without matches, but mainly I just want to make sure everyone finds the tools they need to get outdoors. The woods can be intimidating, and I’d like to offer my students a chance to step outside their comfort zones without feeling alone. Once they reach that place most realize the woods (or nature in general) is where we most belong, and it transforms from a place we are unsure of to a place we need. I invite you to join me in this journey, and find your place outdoors.”
